Amazing Blend of Slate Colors for a Unique Aesthetic
A selection of Greenstone Slate® genuine slate colors was used to create an extraordinary color blend for this expansive Texas residential roof. The blend of colors complements the building’s architecture and mature landscaping to help create old-world charm for this beautiful residence. A mix of semi-weathering and unfading architectural grade (3/8” to 1/2” thick) slates were used to provide excellent visual depth and texture with soft color transitions.
Albright Roofing replaced the existing TruSlate™ slate roof with Greenstone genuine, S1 natural slate. The slates were installed in a random-width design across the multi-peaked roof. To obtain the desired look, the contractor used a blend of 6 colors, Greenstone’s Vermont Clear Gray (semi-weathering), Semi-weathering Gray / Green, Non-weathering Purple, Non-weathering Gray / Green, Vermont Gray Black and Unfading Spanish Black.
The approximately 108 squares of Greenstone slate were installed using the innovative SlateTec installation method that reduces the weight of a slate roof by up to 40%.
