Lehigh University’s Clayton University Center renovation includes Vermont genuine slate roof

Greenstone Slate® Vermont Gray Black was installed atop Lehigh University’s iconic Clayton University Center at Packer Hall. The Clayton University Center recently underwent an extensive renovation to preserve the building’s historic grandeur yet provide a state-of-the-art environment for the students, faculty, and staff. Vermont Gray Black slate is uniform in its rich color and is often selected for institutional buildings such as the Clayton University Center, where a traditional slate appearance is desired.

Alan Kunsman Roofing & Siding installed approximately 190 squares (132,000 lbs) of Greenstone standard-grade S1-rated Vermont roofing slate across the large roof, including the roof’s complex curves, angles and steeple peak.
