Coinciding with our continued efforts of offering both innovative and quality product options to our customers, Greenstone Slate is pleased to announce the new Legacy Unfading Gray/Black natural slate option.
Greenstone Slate is a multi-generational company quarrying stone products, specializing in the extraction, and manufacturing of Vermont roofing slate. The Greenstone Slate Company owns and operates production facilities harvesting what is one of the largest reserves of S1 grade colored slate minerals in the United States, encompassing over 50 registered quarries. In our continued efforts to offer only the highest quality material possible, we are pleased to announce our partnership with the Vega quarry to bring the Legacy Unfading Gray/Black line of roofing material to our clients.
Greenstone’s Legacy Unfading Gray/Black is paired with our patented lightweight slate installation method
With our Legacy Line natural slate offering, customers will receive genuine S1-rated natural roofing slate teamed with our patented lightweight installation method. While still carrying a 100-year warranty, this installation method achieves weight ratings of less than 6 pounds per square foot—equating to 40% less roof weight than a traditional slate installation. The stone, sourced from some of the oldest and most proven sources in Spain, will provide solutions to projects that would otherwise be constrained by traditional installation methods. The Legacy Line with lightweight installation offers improved waterproofing, decreased weight, and faster installation solutions for many projects previously excluded from using slate.
